Changes to MLP

The district professional development council has made some changes to our procedures that will affect all of you as well as the teachers with whom you work regarding licensure points. Here is the official statement, which may be shared:

The Wichita Public Schools Professional Development Council of 2005-06 has elected to remove the stipulation that the Knowledge Validation Form must be completed prior to receiving professional development points. The option will still be available for those who wish to do a written reflection; however, it will not be required.

The form is still present, and may be used, but is optional. Failure to complete the form will have no impact on whether or not points are awarded.

Those desiring points must still enroll on mylearningplan and be sure to sign attendance sheets at activities (we need all attendees to sign in regardless of whether or not points are needed).

Points denied in the past will not be retroactively rewarded.

Requirements for application and impact points will remain unchanged.
