Biography

My name is Rebecca McIntyre, I have been a teacher for 14 years.

My qualifications as a teacher include a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, a Bachelor in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood & English as a Second Language, endorsement. In addition, I am certified to teach Bal-A-Vis-X, and I am working on Brain Gym Certification.
I have degrees in Business Management, and Engineering and Technology. I am currently working on my second master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

My hobbies include reading, martial arts (I have a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do), observing my faith, bicycling, fishing, technology integration, (I work on our Anderson school website) and camping. I was in the military for four years and was stationed in Germany, Turkey, Holland, England, Belgium and Cheyenne Wyoming!

I have a thirteen year old son that is preparing to go to High School next year. He is very active and enjoys tennis, soccer, cricket, reading, martial-arts, bicycling, skateboarding, taking care of his rat terrier, and learning everything he possibly can.

I have two brothers, one, J.L. who runs his own computer business Larew Computer Service, and my brother Trey McIntyre that is a choreographer for ballet companies all over the world. He is currently creating his own company.

My mother and father were and continue to be involved in education. My father retired after 30 years with USD259 as the creator and head administrator of Schweiter Vocational Technical College, now called the Wichita Area Technical College, but continues to stay active with his grandson and granddaughters. My mother recently retired from the federal Head Start Bureau in Washington D.C. and spends time traveling around the world on a ship called the Tenacious and continues to be active with her grandchildren.
