Activities/Timeline for Project |
| Week 1 | Purpose: We will establish a purpose / real life application by having the National Association of Aviation Research Introduce their “Wu-Shock” animation project by showing examples of theirs and other projects. We will give students the opportunity to grade a project using rubrics they will use when completing their own project. We will brainstorm ideas for Biography. | |
| Week 1 | - Students will use Biography data collection sheet to collect data. | |
| Week 2 / 3 | – Students will create a rough draft and final copy of their individual Biography. | |
| Week 3 | – Students work in like biography groups to create basic storyline storyboard. Students will work in groups to write a persuasive proposal. | |
| Week 3 – 4 | -Students present proposal to a facilitator National Institute of Aviation Research, classroom teacher, STS, others, to have storyline accepted (summarizing their project) | |
| Week 4 and 5 | – Students work on storyboard and script and create a pictorial representation of their project with a script to follow. | |
| Week 6-7 | – Students learn how to use equipment creating practice Clay Animation projects. | |
| Week 8-10 | – Students work in groups to create video of their story. Presentations made in school for students, staff, and parents. | |
| January 2006 | – Evaluate, and adjust project. Students will use their journals for self evaluation. | |
| February 2006 | – Finish filming projects | |
| January / February 2006 | – Training for staff not yet trained. | |
| February / March 2006 | – Students will present their projects integrating existing projector technology. | |
| April 2006 | – Final Project evaluation and Checkbrics due | |
| April / May 2006 | – Flight Crews will begin to train younger classmates on how to use new technology. |
