Meet the Library Staff

Shae Reeves, Guest Librarian

I have been working at Anderson for 5 years. I have been a para for 3, a Pre-K teacher for 1 year, and a kindergarten teacher for 1 year before becoming a librarian. At Anderson, we are focused on ensuring the success of each student. In the library, we focus on building an engaging and safe environment while learning our library standards. On Wednesday, we focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). These are fun and engaging activities that promote teamwork and comprehension skills. We are a battle of the books school where we compete with other schools in the district over a list of books the students have read. We are also a RIF school, and volunteers come and read to our students.

Guide to Book Care

  • Keep your books in a safe place.
  • Return your books on time.
  • Do not eat or drink while reading library books.
  • Wash and dry your hands before reading library books.
  • Keep books away from pets and little ones. They do not know how to take care of books!
  • Never draw or write in a library book!
  • Always use a bookmark!
  • If the library book has been damaged, bring it to your librarian. They will repair it if they can. DO NOT REPAIR THE BOOK YOURSELF! Your librarian has the right tools and training to fix books.
  • If you lose your book or it is damaged while in your care, you will need to pay to replace it. Talk to your librarian.
